Classes may be amalgamated or cancelled if there are insufficient entries.

Riders should prepare an individual show unless ride judge is specified in class description.

All riders must wear an approved helmet with chin strap. Neat and tidy turnout is essential.

The judges decision is final in all circumstances and riders must obey stewards instructions at all times.

Hacks, Riding Horses, Hunters, Show Cobs

Ring 1: 11 a.m. sharp. Mares or geldings aged 4 years and over. Riders aged 16 years and over on 1st of January 2017. Entry fee €15 for 1 class and €10 for each and every other class.

Concessions: horses competing under Racehorse to Riding Horse rules in ring 3 may enter Class 1 OR Class 2 and/or Class 9 for the concession price of €7.50.

Ring 2: 11 a.m. sharp.

Rosette, a bag of sweets and a carrot for your pony for ALL ENTRIES in this ring. Prizes in kind. Entry fee €10.

Classes in this ring are open to ponies- mares or geldings, 4 years old and over.

10. Tiny Tots lead rein pony up to 123 cm, riders under 5. Snaffle bridle only, lead rein must be attached to the nose band. Special prize for best turned out combination (rider/handler/pony).

11. Lead rein pony up to 128 cm, rider age 3-8. Snaffle bridle only, lead rein must be attached to the nose band. Special prize for best turned out combination (rider/handler/pony).

12. First ridden pony up to 138 cm, rider age 8-12. Snaffle bridle only. Special prize for best turned out.

13. Ridden pony up to 148 cm, rider age 10-16. Special prize for best turned out.

Break for Lunch

14. Ridden Pony up to 153 cm, rider age 14-25. Special prize for best turned out.

15. Ridden Show class confined to children who live in Laois, ponies exceeding 138 cm but not exceeding 153 cm.

16. Junior Side Saddle, ponies not exceeding 153 cm.

17. Small Traditional Gypsy Cob: exceeding 132 cm, but not exceeding 153 cm, to be shown in natural state.

18. Fancy Dress. Best pony, rider (and handler- optional) in fancy dress. Pony may be led. For ponies not exceeding 138 cm.

19. Fancy Dress. Best pony and rider in fancy dress. For ponies 138 cm and upwards.
